Tattoo and Body Piercing Policy in the Workplace

According to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), approximately one quarter of all Americans had at least one tattoo in 2006 as compared to only one percent of the population in 1976. In fact, people with body art (tattoos and body piercings) hold both entry-level jobs and executive positions, and many are none the wiser. Yet, despite their increased popularity over the last few decades, exposed body art is still generally taboo in a lot of workplace settings.
