2009 Segal Health Plan Cost Trend Survey

The 2009 Segal Health Plan Cost Trend Survey - the Segal Company's 12th annual survey of managed care organizations, health insurers, pharmacy benefit managers and third party administrators - reflects continued declines in trend assumptions for most of the coverages surveyed.  For the first time since the survey's inception, perscription drug trend assumptions are projected to hit single digits and drop below medical plan trends.
