HHS Adopts Standards for EFTs and Remittance Advice

The health care reform law requires HHS to establish uniform standards for health plans that use electronic funds transfers (EFTs) to pay providers. This Legislative Brief provides an overview of HHS’s EFT and remittance advice standards, and highlights some additional guidance that HHS expects to issue in the future.
