LifeBalance is a single
resource for helping employees successfully manage work and life issues. Ceridian Performance Partners created
LifeBalance to provide assistance to employees on virtually any issue they may
face, improving employee performance on the job and enhancing workplace
effectiveness.

resources. Our innovative LifeBalance program features:

Breadth of Service: We provide the industry’s widest range of workplace
effectiveness services, including employee assistance programs, in-house legal
and financial experts, and elder care and child care resources and referrals.

Depth of Service: We offer continual 24-hour service through a
toll-free telephone number, provided by masters-level consultants. We also offer translation services in over
140 languages, consultants who are experienced in dealing with cross-cultural
issues, and a dedicated Hispanic service center with Spanish-speaking
consultants.

Accessibility: We deliver service through many convenient modes, including
telephone consultation, face-to-face assessment, printed materials, an
audio-library, and the Internet.

your employees resolve personal and workplace issues that otherwise might take
a toll on productivity, profitability, efficiency, and quality of life.
Ceridian Performance
Partners offers numerous ways of accessing help and information. We are committed to reaching people through
whichever means they prefer, including:
1. Personal telephone
assessment and consultation: Masters-level consultants
answer the phones 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our consultants listen to the caller’s concerns, provide a
professional assessment, and work with the caller to develop an action
plan. Consultants also access the
caller’s company-provided benefit program to make sure that the action plan is
feasible.
2. Face-to-face help and
assessment: Services are available for
mental health, personal, or substance abuse issues whenever necessary through
our network of licensed mental health and substance abuse providers in the
U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and abroad.
Up to three (3) face-to-face visits – including assessment sessions –
are included at no additional fee.
3. Personalized searches and
referrals: Referrals are available for direct services,
including child care and elder care providers, adoption agencies, back-up and
emergency care, and Medicare information.
Callers are provided with several pre-screened
resources within three days for non-emergencies, and within 1.5 days for
emergencies. We use a unique
combination of community-based resource and referral agencies and a centralized
database to develop resources that meet the caller’s specific requirements.
4. Community-based
referrals: Consultants can direct callers to
community-based resources that provide further assistance for financial, legal,
child care, elder care, consumer, or mental health issues, including substance
abuse and gambling. Resources are
identified to match the caller’s specific requirements regarding location,
ability to pay, insurance criteria, and personal preferences.
5. Online Services: Ceridian Performance Partners offers a Web site,
LifeBalanceOnLine, for electronic service delivery. Employees can access a robust database of educational materials
and provider resources, integrated as a supplemental mode of service delivery
with our 24-hour service centers staffed by masters-level consultants.
6. Printed educational
materials: Callers receive pamphlets, guidebooks,
information sheets, copies of the latest consumer research, checklists,
summaries of current state rules and regulations, and other informational
materials.
7. Tips-On-Tapesm: Brief audio recordings are
available on 500 work-life and health
topics. Employees may be referred to
the audio-text library by a consultant or they can call the library
directly.
8. Library-By-Mailsm: This service provides employees with easy access to over
100 contemporary books and videos. After
calling, faxing, or e-mailing an order, we will ship the materials that same
day for a three week usage period.
Return packaging and postage are included.
9. Short-term counseling: Your
organization may elect to add additional short-term counseling sessions,
available through our affiliate network, for an extra fee.
